Ephemeral ensemble is a multi-award winning and critically acclaimed international physical theatre collective. We make work driven by a theme or a question, which inspires us to find fact-based stories that shine a light on current hidden social issues. Collaboration between the artistic team, the community and professionals in other fields is vital to our process. Our work is political, visually striking, highly dynamic, thought provoking and moving at heart. We combine the high physicality of the performers, original music and playful interaction with the stagecraft to create a narrative. Previous work: Ephemeral Ensemble have recently co-produced with RADA MA Theatre Lab ‘Farewell and Thanks for All The Sheep’, a theatre show about fashion, sustainability and colonialism. The show had a sold out run at GBS Theatre. We have also created work with theatre students from ‘Universidad del Valle’ in Cali- Colombia, based on the theme ‘ Youth Homelessness’. We toured our show ‘Offstage’ from 2017- 2019, including a mouth run at The Pleasance, as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018, and at Tristan Bates as part of the best shows of the Fringe 2018. The show was Lyn Gardner’s pick of the Fringe 2018 for The Independent. Ephemerals’ first work, CARSICK, culminated from the New Diorama's Emerging Theatre Company Program and awards from New Diorama and Ideas Tap in 2016. We are regularly leading devising and physical theatre workshops in the UK and internationally, places such as RADA, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, East15, Royal Holloway University, University of Warwick, Physical Fest, Icelandic Academy of the Arts (Iceland), Univalle University (Colombia), Festival La Rebellión de los Muñecos (Chile).
