Adventure Sandwich is the brainchild of Lily Emerson and Charlie Malave, a pair of prolific Chicago artists who have been working in the local theatre, music, movement, and puppetry worlds for 20 years. With the help of a whole host of talented collaborators, they have created a wide variety of unique family-friendly content since 2012, including videos, interactive events, and live performances of all kinds. You may have seen Adventure Sandwich perform live as the resident opening act for the Hideout’s beloved Emmet Otter XMas celebrations, or played with them in their Cardboard Playground, a popular featured installation at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair for many years. Or perhaps you caught their weekly Facebook Live series and virtual Summer School specials, which entertained families stuck at home during the pandemic.
