Taught by Kuumba Nia Arts & Unlock the Chains Collective (UK)

Thursday July 16th

Columbia College Chicago

Workshop fee: $50

Planning on attending multiple workshops? Consider purchasing a workshop pass.

The workshops provides an opportunity for participants to engage with the fusion of the storytelling style used within the production of SOLD – use of drum and rhythm, song, performance poetry and movement to create theatre and tell stories.

The workshop will explore the theme of Belonging:

A sense of place

A sense of home

A sense of pride

But when/how

Do we know

We Belong?

To Belong

To Belong

To Belong

The company will provide various stimuli to enable participants to devise short pieces, moments of theatre, for sharing. The workshop is open to all, even if you have never performed before. Belonging will be lead by the director and the performers of SOLD.
